We are Nashville’s premier event lighting company that specializes in making your event shine. Founded in 2006 by Blake Chaffin, Nashville Event Lighting is one of Nashville’s longest running event lighting companies with over 80 years of combined experience.

Not only do we have basic lighting packages that include uplighting, pinspots, stringlights, gobos and chandeliers, we also offer custom designed events from the ground up, including but limited to expansive stringlight and twinkle light designs, specialty rigging for larger chandeliers and other hanging elements such as a floral grid over the dance floor and so much more.

We also offer the ability to buy us out for the week, unlocking Nashville Event Lighting true potential and providing to you our entire warehouse of inventory along with all our skilled designers and technicians at the edge of your fingertips.   • Role Summary/Purpose:

    Manage individual teams of Crew Members (2-6 members per team on average) and work with NEL Sales Team, NEL Production Manager as well as customers to ensure smooth execution of lighting event productions. Position reports to NEL’s Production Manager.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Manage small teams of crew members for each of Crew Chief’s assigned jobs

    • Serve as a Crew Member and leader of the Crew team simultaneously

    • Problem solve in the field at the job site to create high quality jobs, avoid delays and ensure customer satisfaction

    • Attend customer/venue site visits as needed

    • Attend regular crew safety/communication meetings

    • Communicate with customers onsite regarding company’s production details and related information

    • Other related duties as determined by company

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Excellent team/people management skills a must

    • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills

    • Able to coach/train Crew Members in the field...lead by example

    • Technical competence; comfortable with lighting gear and related equipment

    • Works efficiently and effectively with minimal direction – ability to solve problems in the field essential

    • Works well in team environment

    • Self-starter; creative problem solver

    • Willing to work nights and weekends (flex-schedule available; part time position)

    • Able to troubleshoot technical issues and respond to customer complaints rapidly

    • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Role Summary/Purpose:

    A Crew Member of an average 2-6 member team. Help to make sure everything is packed for the job and responsible for being a member of the team to set-up and strike assigned events, ensuring a smooth execution of the lighting. Position reports to the Production Manager and answers to the Crew Lead while on the job site.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a Crew Member only, setting up equipment as instructed and loading and unloading equipment into trucks/shop

    • Problem solve in the field at the job site to create high quality jobs, avoid delays and ensure customer satisfaction

    • Attend customer/venue site visits as needed

    • Attend regular crew safety/communication meetings

    • Other related duties as determined by company

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Excellent team/people communication skills a must

    • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills

    • Able to coach/train Crew Members in the field when necessary

    • Technical competence; comfortable with lighting gear and related equipment

    • Works efficiently and effectively with minimal direction – ability to solve problems
